Haiti Agricultural Campaign ~ PLANTE LAKAY, MANJE LAKAY Meaning Plant Local, Eat Local

This campaign is to support the need for agriculture in Haiti. In the process, we will teach the youth to plant seeds, plant trees, which we plan to provide to them. They will learn how to care for the earth for nourishment for their bodies. As the old Chinese Proverb states, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

According to the World Food Program, currently, five percent of the children of Haiti suffer from acute malnutrition, and almost half of women aged 15 to 49 and 65 percent of children under five are anaemic.

Our PLANTE LAKAY, MANJE LAKAY campaign is set to launch this fall, requires two years to be fully implemented and is estimated to cost $50,000.

In conclusion, Haiti’s development is going to take highly skilled human capital from the Haitian diaspora, and all of you friends of Haiti. To keep a skilled workforce in Haiti;  we need to ensure leadership for sustainable social, economic and institutional development are in place. You can make this project possible, no donations are too big or too small- Please help us raise the funds by August 31st to meet our goal of $5,000.
