Plante Lakay Mange Lakay (Plant Local Eat Local) initiative was launched
on May 24, 2018, Centre Haitian D'Action Humanitaire tree planting event was a big success! CEHAH’s newly donated land in Cabaret was prepped and ready for a group of volunteers to go and plant trees.to help the soil to prevent mudslides, and eventually provide nutrition for the locals. We planted a Total of 500 trees, mango trees, coconut trees avocado trees, water Mellon etc. Immediately after the day of service, on May 26, CEHAH held a GALA at the Marriott of Port-Au-Prince, to start raising funds to help obtain an effective irrigation system to ensure that the trees are getting the right amount of water required for growth.
